Founder & Chief Scientist (GAHNA AI Lab)
Dr. Utpal Chakraborty is a leading Indian expert in AI and Quantum Computing, known for building practical, explainable, and sovereign AI systems. He is the Founder and Chief Scientist of ExorionAI and the architect of the GAHNA initiative, India's sovereign AI program for strategic sectors. He has also held senior technology leadership roles at organizations such as IBM, L&T, Capgemini, and YES Bank.
Over the years, Dr. Chakraborty has played a key role in advancing AI education and awareness in India. He has delivered lectures and workshops across hundreds of schools, colleges, universities, and industry forums, helping students and professionals understand AI beyond theory. He is the author of multiple books on AI and Quantum Computing and a frequent speaker at national and international platforms.
His work has earned wide recognition, including being named a Gartner Ambassador for AI and Data & Analytics and a Global AI Ambassador. Through his ongoing work, he continues to contribute to India's journey toward responsible, inclusive, and sovereign AI development.
